DELPHICAMP Greece – Leisure & Language Camp

Location:
DELPHICAMP is located just in the outskirts of Galaxidi (a 3h drive from El. Venizelos Athens International Airport); in an isolated bay amidst pine and cedar trees and next to the crystal blue sea of the Corinthian Gulf.

General information
Campers stay in permanent houses with Greek traditional tile roofs and are arranged in groups of 10-12 campers with one permanently assigned counselor per group. Groups of children 6-9 years of age may have two assigned counselors.
Children at DELPHICAMP spend most of the day swimming at the pool and the beach and canoeing in the sea. Greek summers are quite hot, so the daily activities are scheduled around the pool and beach areas. During each day there is a schedule of activities for every group of campers. This way, all of the children get to try all of the various activities and participate in all aspects of camp life, in a safe and nurturing environment, always under the watchful care of our qualified and experienced staff.
There is a doctor who resides inside the camp during the entire camping session.

Scheduled Activities:
English lessons: 1h per day on weekdays. Focus will be on oral communication.
Sports: Soccer, Basketball, Table tennis, swimming at the beach and at the pool, Canoeing and canoe relay, Trampoline, Soccer, basketball, table tennis and chess tournaments
Arts: Theatre, Music, Singing, Dance, Drawing, Clay, Arts and crafts, Song, dance and drawing competitions
Evening entertainment:
The evenings are very special at DELPHICAMP. For each evening there is scheduled a different event, party or game during which everyone has a blast!
Campers dance their heads off at parties and are always eager to play the Treasure Hunt, which has a different theme each year.

The various activities are held under the supervision and guidance of our qualified staff and there are always supervisors and a lifeguard whenever the children spend time near the water – pool or beach.

Optional activities for our international campers:

Excursions:
1.    Full day excursion to Athens (visit to the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, walk at Plaka, the oldest part of the city, shopping). €50 per camper
2.    Full day excursion to the ancient ruins of Delphi (visit to the ancient stadium and theater and the renovated museum of Delphi). €30 per camper
3.    Half day excursion to the town of Galaxidi (visit to the nautical museum and the museum of local culture, picnic at the beach). €20 per camper

1st session: 15/6/12 – 29/6/12    €800 VAT incl. ( for booking via Camp Aadventure 760 EUR)
2nd session: 30/6/12 – 14/6/12    €800 VAT incl. ( for booking via Camp Aadventure 760 EUR)
3rd session: 15/7/12 – 29/7/12    €800 VAT incl. ( for booking via Camp Aadventure 760 EUR)

Included in the price is accommodation, all meals, use of facilities, English lessons, transportation from and to the airport, insurance, bed sheets and towels. Not included are the air fare, excursions and laundry service.

Laundry service: €20 per camper
