In cooperation with our partner Camp Europe e.V., a non-profit association that is responsible for the recruiting of our teamers, we create an international atmosphere that couldn’t be any stronger. We bring children, young adults and teamers from all over the world together to create unforgettable experiences with many adventures, new friends and never ending fun. Every year our team consists of a wild mix of characters from different origins and careers as well as various ideas and goals. It doesn’t matter if you are still in/just finished school, your apprenticeship or your studies, your application is always welcome. For us your personal developement and growth come first. You want to become part of our team and are looking for the perfect position? We offer fields of activity of different durations and with various key aspects in the following three areas: On-site at the destinations of our summer camps in Germany, England or Northern Ireland, in our office in Hamburg or as Federal Voluntary Service in our camp in the Lüneburger Heide (Walsrode).

 

Camp

In cooperation with the association Camp Europe e.V. we offer various fields of activity in our adventure-educational adventure, sport & language camps for young people from all over the world.

If you are athletic or musical, you like to teach languages or love to cook, you are an enthusiastic writer and like to create children's magazines, love climbing or crafts - then you are exactly right with us. Get carried away by our unique Camp Adventure spirit and spend an unforgettable summer as teamer in our international camps. Here is a first taste of our main teamer training which takes place every year at the end of June on the premises of Camp Adventure Academy in the Lüneburger Heide.

6 unforgettable months with Camp Adventure!

We are looking for ambitious all-round talents! Come along and get trained free of charge as a high ropes course trainer (from 2020 we are an ERCA certified training institution), canoe guide, team building & survival instructor!

MARCH 15th, 2020 – SEPTEMBER 19th, 2020

WHAT WE OFFER
  • 4.5 weeks of free training (Camp Counselor, high ropes course, archery, canoe, kayak, team building, survival, hiking, F&B logistics, first aid, hygiene, slacklining, administration)
  • Acquisition of various certificates, e.g.: First aid, lifeguard, high ropes course trainer (ERCA certified), TOEFL, German health certificate, Juleica (Youth Leader Card)
  • 16 weeks of practical work in our international camps in Germany
  • 2-4 weeks stay abroad in one of our partner camps in Ireland or England as well as the opportunity to visit our partner camps in Canada, Iceland, USA, etc. after finishing your diploma
  • Accommodation & meals during training and assignment times + expense allowance

2 – 12 meaningful weeks with Camp Adventure!

Give children and young adults from all over the world an understanding of the English or German language and culture outside the classroom and gain lots of valuable experience for your studies.

Mr & Mrs Clean
2 – 4 dynamic weeks with Camp Adventure! (from 18 years)

For our location in the Lüneburger Heide (Walsrode) we are looking for four young people who would like to become Mr & Mrs Clean. Would you like to be part of an international team for four weeks and create a great summer together with many other young people?

Maybe there's no more counselor position anymore or you're still too young - no problem. We are still looking for Mr & Mrs Clean. Your job is to take care of the cleanness on our campground together with a small team. You have no problem helping with our "Dishco" and in the kitchen and cleaning the sanitary areas? You have a mania for cleaning or want to discover it for yourself? After a training you can spend four weeks in the Lüneburger Heide (Walsrode) together with the other teamers in a tent and discover the camp. Your shifts are spread over the day, about 6-7 hours per day. You have the rest of the day and evening off so that you can of course participate in all activities together with the children and young adults who are there as our guests. The participants in the camp are children and young adults from all over the world between 7 and 17 years.

Transfer Teamer
9 - 12 weeks event management with Camp Adventure!

Are you looking for a little different internship for summer? Then you are just the right person for us! We are still looking for an intern at our camp in the Lüneburger Heide for at least 9 weeks from June to August 2020.

Every year over 3.000 participants from over 65 countries attend our summer camps in Germany, England and Northern Ireland. To make sure that everybody can reach our camps we offer various railway station and airport shuttles. As transfer teamer, you plan, execute and follow-up independently the transfers of our teamers and participants.

Additionally, your tasks involve chairing the transfer briefing, support the location management, communicate with our office in Hamburg, create the payroll and many more.

Charismatic personalities manage to carry others away, motivate and excite them

Camp Adventure Academy offers since 2002 in cooperation with Camp Europe e.V. a competent training platform for teamers, outdoor educators, language coaches and camp directors with the goal to professionalize in the area of children and youth travel.

Usually our camp coordinators start as teamers caring for children and young adults. It then quickly becomes apparent who is qualified for the position of a camp director because of his/her charismatic personality, outstanding commitment, social competences, communication skills, honesty and reliability.

From teamer (or even camper) to camp coordinator it usually takes some years. Years in which our recruiting team supports suitable candidates and creates the ideal frame and necessary free spaces to advance the personal and professional development to the best extent.

characteristic career of a perennial leader (Camp Director):
  • Successful assignment as first-year-teamer in our international summer camps
  • Assignment as camp director assistant (in midsized to big camps)
  • Assignment as camp director in small to midsized camps (20-80 participants)
  • Assignment as camp director in big camps (up to 200 participants)
Opportunities offered by camp adventure in the course of the perennial leader program:

Application process
Step 1
Online application

Every summer we bring children and young adults as well as a bunch of motivated and dynamic teamers from all over the world together. Because of this we mainly speak English in our team. To already get you used to the language muddle that awaits you in our camps we offer an international application process in English. The application process is carried out by the non-profit association Camp Europe e.V.. Before applying please read the following information given under “Step 2-4”.

Step 2
Interview

As soon as we have received and checked your application you will get a response from us via e-mail. In case of a positive assessment we will invite you to a skype interview to get to know each other a bit better.

Step 3
Confirmation of your placement

In case you get a confirmation we will send you all important information that you need for organizing your voluntary assignment. After that we need the following documents from you to finalize the application process:

  • Copy of the signed agreement (Memorandum of Understanding)
  • Transfer of a deposit of € 290 for the participation in the one week staff training (WILL BE REFUNDED AFTER 4 WEEKS OF ASSIGNMENT IN CAMP. LANGUAGE COACHES DO NOT HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT.)
  • Copy of your passport
  • Copy of your valid first aid certificate – 9 UE, not older than 2 years (you can as well complete a first aid course for € 65 during staff training)
  • Extended criminal record (attestation for the application for permit will be provided by us)
  • Attestation of a doctor about your physical and psychological fitness to execute camps for children and young adults
Step 4
Staff training

Attending the staff training is obligatory for all applicants. The training takes place on the premises of Camp Adventure Academy in the Lüneburger Heide (Walsrode) on the following dates:

  • T1 (main training): 20.06. - 26.06.2020 (about 120 participants)
  • German Language Coach training:
    • GLT 1 (main training): 26.06. - 02.07.2020
    • GLT 2 (alternative training): 26.06. - 28.06.2020
  • English Language Coach training:
    • ELT 1 (main training): 26.06. - 28.06.2020
  • T2 (alternative training): 28.6. - 4.7.2020 (about 20 participants)
  • T3 (alternative training): 12.7. - 18.7.2020 (about 20 participants)
  • T4 (alternative training): 26.7. - 1.8.2020 (about 15 participants)

The travel expenses for getting to the training will be refunded up to € 150 (only within Germany).

Our office is right in the popular Schanzenviertel in Hamburg where life flourishes. We are a young, diverse team of 15 staff members at the moment, which keenly organize all areas relating to the event management.

Our partner Camp Europe e.V. is an accredited organization for the Federal Voluntary Service in the camps of Camp Adventure. Hand in hand, we bring together children, youngsters and young adults from all over the world in our international camps in the Lüneburger Heide (Walsrode) to learn and live together. With lots of fun and spontaneity, we organize the days and use the huge premises for many activities. We would need you from May 1st to help organize the camp together with our team on-site.
