Shuttle from/to the airport
Our arrival and departure shuttles to and from the camp are always accompanied by our trained team. You can easily recognise our Teamers: they wear brown CAMP ADVENTURE T-shirts, a red lanyard with a name tag or hold a clearly visible CAMP ADVENTURE sign in their hands. Depending on the traffic situation, we use taxis, coaches or occasionally public transport such as trains for transport to the holiday camp.
Please consider our pick up times for Germany /Spain (arrival/departure of the flight has to be in this timeframe):
Airport Hamburg
Arrival: 10am – 3pm
McDonald's: 2pm

Shuttle from the airport: directly to baggage reclaim or security check
On the day of arrival, our Teamers will pick up your child directly at the exit after baggage claim. On departure, we will accompany your child to check-in and on to security. To ensure that the handover goes smoothly, we need accurate information about your child's flight connection. We will ask you for this information approximately 6 weeks before the start of camp via our transfer questionnaire. You will receive this with the email containing the ‘final payment request & travel information’.
If you are using the airline's Unaccompanied Minor Service (UM), please provide the name of the person picking up your child. We will provide you with this information.

Children using the UM service will be handed over to a flight attendant after check-in.
Shuttle to/from the central meeting point at the airport
Please be at the agreed meeting point on time. Our team will arrive there at the scheduled time, but not earlier. We ask for your understanding if there is a short delay – it may be that an earlier pick-up took a little longer than expected.
Our central meeting point for Hamburg Airport is the McDonald's inside Terminal 1 on Level 3. No ticket or security check is required to get there.
Please note! Food and drinks on the shuttle: On arrival, give your child pocket money or snacks/drinks as needed. On departure, we leave after breakfast; for longer trips, we provide lunch bags. If your child travels far, make sure they have money for extra food.
Shuttle from/to the train station
Our shuttles to and from the camp are always accompanied by experienced teamer. You can recognise them by their brown CAMP ADVENTURE shirt, a red lanyard with a name tag or a CAMP ADVENTURE sign. Depending on traffic, we use taxis, buses or occasionally trains for the transfer.

Departure 16.08.2025 - Meeting point platform 13, Arrival 3:08pm / ICE 1579 (Please check after arriving, we cannot rule out last minute changes)
Arrival from your local area
As an additional option, we offer accompanied train transfers from various locations in Germany to and from the departure airport. Arrival and departure take place together as a group and are supervised by a Camp Adventure counselor.
Boarding takes place directly at the respective train station on a regularly scheduled train. Parents personally hand their child over to our team there—on the platform or on the train. Our counselors are easy to recognize by their Camp Adventure clothing and accompany the group reliably from that moment all the way to the airport.
The train connections are fixed and coordinated with the flight schedules. Arrival at the airport is planned so that the group arrives around 3.5 hours before departure. After the return journey, the handover takes place again at the train station.
You will receive the exact train connections, departure times, and—if applicable—the carriage number approximately six weeks before departure.

You can drop off/pick up your child at the following times:
- Arrival: SUNDAY 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Departure: SATURDAY 10 a.m. to 12 noon
If you are unable to drop off or pick up your child at the times specified, please contact us and we will work out an alternative solution together.
As we have many guests arriving independently in Walsrode, we ask for your understanding if there are delays on site. To keep these delays to a minimum, here is a brief overview of the check-in process:
- Our team will welcome you at the entrance to our premises. There you will receive a large envelope. Please put your child's health insurance card/confirmation, copies of flight/train tickets (if available), pocket money, medication + dosage instructions and all electrical devices and valuables (mobile phone, iPod, etc.) in this envelope.
- After leaving your car, please go directly to check-in (our staff will show you the way) and hand the envelope to our staff. Only take your hand luggage with you to check-in. Please leave the rest of your luggage in the car.
- After check-in, we will collect the luggage together and show you the way to your child's tent/hut.
- Our camp leaders will then be happy to give a tour of the entire camp to anyone who is interested.
- All parents must leave the site by 6 p.m., as this is when the adventure officially begins for our campers😊
emergency number
We are available around the clock on arrival and departure days, as well as in genuine emergencies (e.g. delays, illness or family emergencies). Please only use the emergency number for urgent matters outside of our office hours – the line must remain free for acute cases. It is only active during the camp season.
You can reach our office Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feel free to leave a message – we will call you back as soon as possible.
Office: +49 40 8080 576 00
Emergency number: +49 40 8080 576 11
Mobile phone, smartwatch and telephone
Contacting the camp by phone:
There are no landline phones at the camp. If you would like to call your child, please give them a mobile phone with roaming enabled and, if necessary, an international SIM card. Wi-Fi is often not available at our German camps, so please make sure you have a suitable tariff.
Rules for mobile phones and smartwatches:
On the day of arrival, we collect all electronic devices. This allows all campers to focus on the real holiday experience. In case of illness or discomfort, we will of course contact you. No call means your child is fine.
During siesta (after lunch), all children are allowed to use their devices briefly. Afterwards, they are collected again. On excursion days, they can keep their devices for the duration of the excursion.
In emergencies, you can reach us around the clock on our emergency number.
Emails and post
Unfortunately, it is not possible to call the respective teamers. The best way to reach our camp management team on site is by emailing the respective camp address (see below). This allows us to respond quickly and directly to all concerns.
As phone calls to your child's home can cause homesickness, we generally recommend sending an email instead. That is why we offer an email service that allows you to send your child one email per day. We usually print these out in the morning and then forward them to your child.
Please note: No attachments such as pictures, videos or comics – unfortunately, we cannot print or forward these. This service is one-way – your child cannot reply to you by email. But a message from home is sure to put a smile on their face! If you miss your child and would like to be called during siesta time, simply send an email to the camp.
Email addresses for the camps:

Barcelona:
Bayerischer Wald:

Emails:
Please note that it takes about 24 hours for us to print, sort, and deliver emails. If you send your message in the morning, it will usually be handed out the next day. Emails are always distributed during Siesta time.
Letters and Postcards:
Keep in mind that letters and postcards can take several days to arrive.
Important: Make sure to include your child’s full name and the camp date in the address line so we can correctly assign the mail.
Please send letters early – ideally one week before the camp starts. Unfortunately, we cannot process packages or returns.
You’ll find the camp addresses listed above under the section “Address.”
For the journey/check-in at the camp:
Please pack documents, medication and pocket money in a sealable bag labelled with your child's name and the camp they are travelling to. We will collect these at check-in and keep them safe for your child. We do NOT require a vaccination certificate or swimming certificate.

Helpful Packing Tips
- Make sure to label all clothing and personal items – many campers bring similar-looking clothes, and labeling is the only reliable way to match lost and found items.
- For dirty laundry, we suggest using a cloth bag or pillowcase. Avoid plastic bags, as damp clothes can cause discoloration or mildew.
- To stay organized, it’s a good idea to pack clean clothes in separate, color-coded bags – this makes it easier to find essentials like underwear without unpacking everything.
- Please leave expensive tech gadgets and valuables at home. We do not take responsibility for items valued over 500€.
- Recommended pocket money:
- Germany: around 20€ per week
- England, Spain & flights: around 50€ per week
- Teens aged 15–17: up to 200€
Travel insurance
If your child is travelling with us to a country other than their home country, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover medical repatriation in the event of an accident or serious illness. If your child does not yet have travel insurance, you can book our travel insurance package, which includes international health insurance, liability insurance, accident insurance and assistance insurance. Please note that non-EU insurance policies are usually not accepted by hospitals and doctors, who will require payment in cash. Therefore, please always take out EU health insurance.
We would like to point out that participants without adequate international insurance cover must be prepared to pay any medical or hospital bills themselves. Camp Adventure will not cover these costs. For this purpose, a security deposit of approximately €500 in cash or a credit card with sufficient coverage should be brought along.
Detailed information about our travel insurance package can be found here.
Handling medication
We collect all medication at check-in and give it to your child as needed/instructed. All medication should be placed in a sealed bag labelled with your child's name. We also ask you to include a brief description of the treatment required and dosage instructions. Important medications such as asthma inhalers should be brought in sufficient quantities, as they may not contain exactly the same substances abroad and a prior visit to the doctor may be necessary for new prescriptions.
We also ask for all details about your child's medical and social needs in a questionnaire. We will send this to you in the ‘Final Travel Information’ email.
Homesickness
First, the good news: Homesickness is completely normal and part of growing up! Our Teamers are very familiar with this issue and will take good care of your child.
If your child is travelling without you for the first time, we recommend our ‘Anti-Homesickness’ guide, which contains some very effective tips!
You can find it as videos on YouTube or as a pdf!
Drugs and social behaviour
For legal reasons, out of conviction and in cooperation with the organisation Keine Macht den Drogen (No Power to Drugs), all camp participants are strictly prohibited from possessing or consuming drugs of any kind, including cigarettes, vapes and alcoholic beverages. Any violation of this rule will result in expulsion from the camp. In this case, the legal guardians will be responsible for any costs incurred.
We are convinced that our varied activities and the great camp atmosphere offer much better alternatives anyway!
We also attach great importance to respectful interaction. Discrimination, bullying or violence have no place here. Our goal is to ensure that all campers, regardless of age or origin, have a happy, relaxed and safe time.
Internationality
We are proud to have such a diverse and international team at our camps! Our counsellors bring valuable experience from their travels and previous camps, contributing significantly to the unique Camp Adventure experience.
Together with our participants from many different countries, they create a cosmopolitan community where different cultures can be discovered and friendships with children and young people from all over the world can be formed.
The camp languages are English and German – depending on the location, the local language of the respective camp may also be used.
Pictures
We know how valuable it is to capture unforgettable memories! That's why we take as many photos as possible during the camps. However, our focus is on providing the children with an eventful time filled with exciting activities. Please understand that we cannot guarantee that every child will be captured in a photo.
Your child is welcome to bring a digital camera. It does not need to be handed in at check-in, but this is at your own risk.
As the internet connection on site is not always ideal, we are unable to share all photos on social media or our website during the camp. From autumn onwards, you will find all the photos on our website, where you can relive the best moments.
