Feel the wind on your face, the gentle snort of your horse, and the rhythm of hooves — riding is more than a sport; it’s a feeling of freedom and trust. At our riding camp in Lower Saxony, you’ll experience the magic of horses and learn to become a true team with your four-legged partner.
Care, training, and unforgettable trail rides — the experienced trainers from the Altenwahlingen Equestrian Club will teach you how to handle horses properly. Whether you’re just starting out or want to improve your skills, this is the place for you.

All you need to know
- Riding 4 days a week, 2 hours each: Intensive riding lessons at a nearby riding stable
- For all levels: Beginners and experienced riders welcome
- Community & adventure: Full-day varied program including canoeing, archery, high ropes course, swimming lake with water trampoline
- Fun evening program: Campfire, stick bread, Capture the Flag, and more
- Cool trips & excursions during a two-week stay: Hiking with overnight outdoor camping, swimming pool, Heide Park, and Hamburg trip
- Camp language English/German: Learn languages playfully in an international atmosphere
- Full board 7 days (Sun–Sat), 6 nights: Freshly prepared meals

Arrival & Departure
All Roads Lead to Camp!
Whether by car, train, plane, or shuttle — your child will arrive safely and relaxed. We take care of everything to ensure a smooth journey!
Self-arrival: Simply drop off and pick up yourself. Detailed directions will be emailed to you 6 weeks before camp starts — making your arrival stress-free.
Shuttle service: Since our adventure camps are often in remote areas, we’re happy to shuttle you from nearby airports and train stations.
Shuttles run only on Sundays for arrival and Saturdays for departure within set time windows. Outside these windows on those days, you can book a private shuttle for an additional fee. Please contact us directly for this option.

Our Camp Adventure (Academy) in Walsrode is nestled in the idyllic Lüneburg Heath, perfectly located between Bremen, Hamburg, and Hannover. Just a short walk away, you’ll find a charming North German village with farms and traditional half-timbered houses — the perfect place for little discoveries.
Over 150,000 m² of pure adventure! Our spacious campgrounds are divided into three exciting zones: Beach/Water, Survival & Creative. Kayaking, jumping on water trampolines, building rafts, making fires, or climbing in the high ropes course — there’s always action happening here!
International community & camp spirit! Our camp is bilingual (English & German) — you’ll meet participants from all over the world and naturally improve your English along the way.

Live Like in a Little Village!
At our international holiday camp in Lower Saxony, you can choose between a tent village and adventure lodges — whatever suits your adventurous spirit!
Tent Village: Six- to seven-person tents with wooden floors and lofts offer true outdoor feeling under the stars.
Adventure Lodges: Cozy cabins with four to eight beds, shelves, and seating areas. (Note: Staying in a lodge is charged separately.)
Our accommodations are separated by gender, so girls and boys sleep in separate tents or lodges. The groups are also divided by age:
- Junior (7–12 years)
- Senior (12–15 years)
- Senior Plus (15–17 years)
Bathrooms are also separated by gender and always close by.
And the best part? Our teamers live right next door and are there for you around the clock!
Good to know:
For tents, you’ll need a sleeping bag & sleeping mat. For solid accommodations, bring a fitted sheet with a sleeping bag or bedding, which you can rent if you like.

Riding adventure 4 days a week, 2 hours each: Intensive riding lessons at a nearby stable, perfect for beginner riders.
Experienced trainers: Professional guidance from the Altenwahlingen Equestrian Club – from proper handling to horse care.
Teamwork & communication: Discover what truly matters in the partnership between horse and rider.
Practical responsibility: Independently prepare, care for, and return the horses.
Grand finale: A group ride through the picturesque southern Lüneburg Heath completes the experience.
In the afternoon, choose from a variety of exciting activities – there’s always something new to discover depending on the weather and available options! Look forward to highlights like:
Water action: Kayaking, jumping on the water trampoline, and building rafts
Reach new heights: Climbing in the high ropes course
Survival training: Making fires, building shelters, and learning to survive in nature
Express your creativity: Exciting workshops for those who want to unleash their artistic side.
And in the evening? Campfires, talent shows, and group activities make for the perfect end to an eventful day!

Three meals a day – fresh, varied, and truly delicious! Whether vegetarian, gluten-free, or lactose-free, there’s something for everyone with advance notice.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast buffet: fresh bread rolls, cold cuts, fruit, muesli, juices, and tea. At lunch and dinner, enjoy mostly warm dishes and a colorful salad buffet. Between meals, you can recharge with fresh fruit, an afternoon snack, and plenty of water – perfect fuel for all your adventures!
And the best part? We always cook fresh! No instant soups, no bland one-size-fits-all meals – just tasty food that gives you energy!

Our children (12 and 15) attended the Walsrode camp in summer 2024. I can truly recommend it — they had so much fun, gained many new experiences, and made friends from all over the world. They’re already planning for next summer. :-)
